Choosing an anniversary gift can feel surprisingly difficult. You know someone so well, but finding something that feels personal isn’t always easy.
Sometimes the starting point is already in your phone.
Not just the wedding photos. The first trip together. A favourite afternoon. The terrible selfie you both still love. Photos that wouldn’t mean much to anyone else, but mean everything to the two of you.

Start with a photo you both love
You don’t need to tell your whole story in one gift.
Start with one photo that makes you think, “that’s us.” It might be from your wedding day, but it could just as easily be the two of you in the kitchen or windswept on a weekend away.

You don’t need one from every year. Just a few that take you somewhere different: when you first met, a place you lived, a trip you still talk about, and something more recent.
It’s lovely to see what’s changed. Sometimes it’s even lovelier to see what hasn’t.
Keep the photos clear and the choice personal
Choose original digital photos where you can, rather than screenshots. Look for clear faces and leave a little room around anything important near the edges.
But don’t confuse a meaningful photo with a perfect one. You can both be laughing, looking away or pulling ridiculous faces. A clear photo can still be wonderfully unposed.
For your partner, or a couple you love
Photo magnets can be an anniversary gift for your own partner, or a thoughtful way to celebrate your parents or another couple close to you.
If you’re choosing for someone else, stick to photos you know they love. A few familiar favourites can be more personal than trying to find something they’ve never seen.
